| New French-Mexican eatery to open this fall
A new concept in Dallas eating will combine French technique with Mexican influence when it opens this November. "Soley!" (which rhymes with olé) will be a high-end restaurant serving cuisine from both countries, ringing in at 3,000 square feet. A $120,000 finish-out will give the space at 2405 Henderson Ave. a rustic look, with stained floors and wooden ceilings. It will accommodate 70 diners inside and on two patios. .

Endo Pharmaceuticals, of Chadds Ford, and Vernalis, of Winnerish, United Kingdom, said the Food and Drug Administration has requested more time to review the companies' application to market Frova, a painkiller, for the short-term prevention of menstrual migraine headaches. The FDA was originally scheduled to reach a decision by Aug. 19. The agency has not asked for any additional information or clinical trial data, the companies said. .
Stephens gets service award
ERIE - Carol Stephens, an instructor at Erie High School, has been named the 2007 affiliate winner of the Outstanding Teacher in Community Service Award from the Kansas Association of Career and Technical Education. The awards ceremony took place during the organization's summer conference Aug. 6. The purpose of the award is to recognize teachers with significant accomplishments and outstanding leadership in programs and activities that promote community involvement. Recipients of this award must have made significant contributions toward training, motivating and inspiring their peers and students to become involved in activities that benefit their community. "I'm very honored to receive the award," Stephens said Thursday. "But it's really my FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) students that won it.
